Pond Etiquette

by on July 2, 2010

Scott Thomas writes:

Now that summer (?) is here, kids of all ages have returned to the pond at Lac Leman. They are more than welcome here however many are constantly seen throwing all kinds of items into the pond, throwing rocks at the ducks, damaging the landscape, and trying to dislodge the large support rocks that surround the pond. We used to have a requirement that young children must be accompanied by a parent or adult when visiting close to the pond. Please get the word back out to all families to instruct their children to respect this pond and keep a safe distance.
