Comcast Internet Issues in Montreux (December Update)
Dear Montreux Residents,
An update to our email dated November 18, 2020 regarding Comcast/Xfinity internet service issues in Montreux:
It is our understanding the City of Issaquah approved the permit for a new internet “node” prior to Thanksgiving. Susan Glicksberg, Montreux HOA Government Affairs Chair, contacted the City of Issaquah and was told Comcast’s upgrade would be completed by “mid-December.” As of this week, the upgrade work is on track to be completed next week. Hopefully we will see improvement by early next week. Unfortunately, we have not been able to get a more detailed plan from Comcast, and there is no guarantee this upgrade will resolve all concerns.
What you can do:
· Internet service is regulated by the Federal Communication Commission (FCC). If you haven’t already, we encourage you to file a complaint directly with the FCC: https://consumercomplaints.fcc.gov/hc/en-us
· If you are experiencing problems with your Comcast Cable TV service please contact Susan Glicksberg (sglicksberg@comcast.net). Cable TV service in Montreux is regulated by the City of Issaquah and she may be able to engage with them for assistance.
· Some residents have reported success at obtaining refunds from Comcast for service issues. Consider contacting Xfinity to request a refund.
Thank you for your patience and support. We share everyone’s frustration with the current situation.
Sincerely,
Frank Yandrasits
On behalf of Montreux Homeowners’ Association (HOA) Board
Thanks for the update
